The Gallery

 

You will be delighted in the variety of creations from local Georgia Artists. We select work mainly from the North Georgia Region and feature pottery, blown glass, wood carving, metal sculpture, jewelry, found object/collage, handmade candles, handmade soaps, stone sculpture, watercolors, acrylics, oils and fused glass. We offer one-of-a-kind gift items to collective works from $4 to $12,000.

The Annual Events

 

BLUE BELL GALLERY HOSTS 4 ANNUAL EVENTS

 

In the Winter, we host “Green – Au Naturale”.  This event occurs the month of March with an OPENING RECEPTION ON THE 3RD SATURDAY EVENING @ 7PM.

 

In late Spring, we host “SPRING OPEN HOUSE”. This event takes place the first weekend in May.

 

In the Fall, we host our “HAUNTINGS” Exhibition during the month of October with the OPENING RECEPTION ON 3RD SATURDAY EVENING @ 7PM.

 

During the holidays, we host “HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE”. This event begins the Friday following Thanksgiving and runs through December 22 with an ARTIST’S RECEPTION ON THE 1ST FRIDAY EVENING OF DECEMBER @ 6PM.

CLAY DAYS – Handbuilding & Wheel Throwing

 

NEW ADDITIONS

 

SATURDAY MORNING CLAY TIME ($50)

(one day workshops / 9a – 1p through October & November)

Spend A Saturday Morning playing in the dirt. Just in time for the holidays or that special occasion. Create gifts for your family. You will complete a project start to finish each Saturday that you participate. Fee Includes a ˝ bag of Clay & Firing Costs. Tools and additional clay will be available for purchase. (Minimum 6/Maximum 10)

 

TUESDAY EVENINGS ARE FOR THE PITS ($135)

(4 week sessions)

Works created will be built especially for a pit firing on the last evening of class. (Minimum 6/Maximum 10)

 

HOME SCHOOLERY ($135/$120)

(4 week sessions)

We are happy to work with Homeschooling families and tailor projects around topics you are already studying. We can also accommodate your schedule. So let us know how we can best enhance and enrich your school days.  (Minimum 6/Maximum 10)

 

 

OUR REGULAR CLASSES

 

CLAY DAYS – Handbuilding & Wheel Throwing

Tuition:  $80 + Materials:  $55 ($40 if you already have your tools) = $135/$120

 

 

 

We are very excited to host these classes with Barbara Bendzunas, a very talented clay and glass artist and designer. This class is a broad introduction to both Handbuilding and Wheel Throwing techniques.  Students can expect to create functional and sculptural stoneware pottery of their own design. More days  and hours can be added at your request. Each session you enroll will build upon your skill set and the complexity of projects will develop along with your individual abilities. (Minimum 6/Maximum 10)

 

Regular classes will meet once a week for FOUR weeks.  The materials fee for classes covers 1 bag/25 lbs. of clay, basic clay tool kit and all associated firing costs.  Any additional clay may be purchased for $40 per bag – use of glazes and firing fees are calculated into this price. You will also need a towel and a couple of 1-gallon buckets for water & tools. Minimum class size is 4 and limited to 10 students.  (Minimum 6/Maximum 10)
